The sun has finally broken through the endless cloud, after a very wet week on the farm. The signs of spring are certainly around with buds on the elderflower bushes and daffodils beginning to open. We now have Red and Green Kale and Pak Choi starting this week along with Lambs Lettuce. Unfortunately the following have finished: January Kings, Heritage apples and Russet apples.

The Farm this week has seen little sunshine, with frost some mornings. The light levels have not been conducive for growth but this will improve with spring around the corner. The farm is however producing excellent Bunched Cheltenham Beetroots, Bunched Chioggia and Bunched Regular Beetroot plus Bunched Carrots. Unfortunately the loose Heritage Carrots Red, White and Chantenay have come to an end ..but there is beautiful Forced Rhubarb which always reminds us that spring is on its way.
