An Evening with Gregg
We hosted our first Evening with Gregg at Wallace & Co last night. It was a celebration of the finest spring produce from Secretts Farm: asparagus with hollandaise and an asparagus tart to start with, then a selection of different tomato varieties with some gazpacho, followed by corn fed baby chicken in a broth with peas, broad beans, baby turnips and cornish early potatoes and finished with strawberries and a strawberry pannacotta. Gregg introduced each course, did a Q&A on Masterchef and generally charged around like he owns the place – which of course he does, so fair enough. Craig the chef did a great job with the food and from the reactions we had on the night (and in the Twitterverse) it looks like an excellent evening was enjoyed by all. A big thank you to all the team at Wallace and Co – what a wonderful evening. Gregg was the star of the evening, closely followed by the delicious spring fare – scrumptious. The atmosphere was fabulous – everyone chatting, sharing – a really unique experience. Can’t wait for the next one in June. I’ll be following @wallaceandco and http://www.frenzie.co.uk to be sure I don’t miss out.

A great evening, thanks to all who made it so relaxing and tasty! Gregg was on fine form and created a spot-on atmosphere. Meeting him was a delight. Superb photos too. Well done everyone!

Last night was fantastic. It was the second time I’ve been to Wallace&Co and I wasn’t dissapointed.
I travelled via coach from Manchester on what turned out to be a 11 hour round trip but it was well worth it.
The food was delicious! All the produce was fresh and you could really taste the difference this made in the dishes.
The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable and everyone was very friendly.
It was an absolute bargain for the price and I can’t wait for the next one!
Gregg was the prefect host. He knows his stuff when it comes to veg and the talks he gave were passionate and interesting. I loved the way he took the time to speak to everyone individually. He was down to earth and lovely just as I expected.
It was also lovely to meet @thelittlewelsh and her partner there.

What a fun night.
Great food, great company and Greg eulogising about his veggies.
We also learnt a thing or two about them as well.
